the progress on this song has been slower than i would like. this is because it is very challenging. i find with challenging songs you need to put them away, and then come at them fresh. if i don't, and just try to muscle thorough it, the song can become dull or will frustrate me enough so that i abandon it.

Giant Steps - John Coltrane - UFbP 14 - Documentary of an Arrangement - Entry 2
Here is my entry for 8-Feb-2011.

so here is the progress - i have the body and the melody down. i am starting to think about the vamp solo. this is not going to be like the Coltrane solo, but something that can be played on ukulele with some chord back-ups. i will not score this as it will stagnate the development of the song. enjoy and keep watching.
