Blue Moon is a classic simple song that can be made to sound exceptionally great on ukulele with a few embellishments.
I am playing this in C as "All of Me" lesson. We can use this to build the techniques on the same chords and learn some new ones.
This is not a chord solo song but more of instrumental accompaniment rhythm song. I add a lot of interest by changing the chord every couple of beats. I accomplish this by knowing chord similarities and adding notes to the root chords.
You can too! I note that the techniques that I am using can be applied anywhere. You learn these tricks as a "chord lick" that can be applied to other songs with these same chord forms. There is really no magic here.
A good resource is the www.theguitarguy.com. This is where I got this basic arrangement (and most of my other piece too). www.theguitarguy.com/bluemoon

All of Me with Jazzukes Video Lesson
Okay - there have been a lot of people asking me for lessons. unfortunately i am a really busy guy and scheduling can be difficult. So this year i will try to put up video lessons of a popular song or two. I will pay as a performance first. then i will give a slowed down version (that you can practice to later) with a focus on my hands. the last bit is an elemental analysis of the song breaking out each chord and discussing the elements of the tricks i am using. here is the thing, you can apply these tricks to any song using the same chord. i try not to discuss music theory, i am sorry that it may creep in here and there.

My Way - Jazzukes American Songbook
This song was written in 1969 by Paul Anka and Jacques Revaux; Most famously recorded by Francis Albert Sinatra and somewhat famously Elvis. Now I am doing it. Well the thing is that I have done it my way. Unfortunately that is not the best way. I really need to find a singer. But I love the chord changes in this song and they are kind of fun. So here is my rendition of the song "my way". It is kind of a fitting end to 2012, although I hope that my end is not near.
